1. **Material Selection and Inspection:**

- The raw materials used for manufacturing the tubes, such as sheets or strips of metal, should be inspected for their composition, thickness, and surface quality. Certification documents from the supplier should be checked to confirm that the materials meet the required standards.

2. **Dimensional Control:**

- The dimensions of the tubes, including width, height, thickness, and wall thickness, need to be measured accurately. This can be done using calipers, micrometers, or coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). The tubes should comply with the dimensional tolerances specified in the manufacturing standards.

3. **Circularity and Ovalization Check:**

- Square and rectangular tubes should have a circular cross-section. Any deviation from perfect circularity (known as ovalization) should be measured and controlled. Specialized equipment can be used to check for circularity.

4. **Surface Quality Inspection:**

- The surface of the tubes should be free from any defects such as scratches, dents, or roughness. Visual inspection and the use of magnifying glasses or surface roughness testers can help in identifying surface imperfections.

5. **Thickness and Wall Strength Check:**

- The wall thickness of the tubes should be measured at multiple points to ensure uniformity. Specialized tools like thickness gauges can be used for this purpose. The strength of the walls should also be tested to ensure they can withstand the intended load.

6. **Chemical Composition Analysis:**

- The chemical composition of the material should be analyzed to confirm that it meets the required specifications. This can be done using spectroscopic analysis or other chemical analysis techniques.

7. **Mechanical Property Testing:**

- Tensile tests, bend tests, and impact tests can be performed on sample tubes to assess their mechanical properties such as strength, ductility, and toughness.

8. **Leak Testing:**

- For tubes that will be used for conveying fluids or gases, leak testing is essential. Pressure tests can be conducted to check for any leaks in the tubes.

9. **Stress Relieving and Heat Treatment:**

- Some tubes may require stress relieving or heat treatment processes to reduce internal stresses and improve their mechanical properties. Proper heat treatment processes should be followed, and the tubes should be inspected post-treatment to ensure they meet the required specifications.

10. **Inspection of Fittings and Connections:**

- If the square and rectangular tubes are to be used in piping systems with fittings, the connections should be inspected to ensure proper fitting and welding, if applicable, and that they meet the required standards for strength and leak-proof integrity.

11. **Final Inspection and Certification:**

- After all the manufacturing processes are completed, a final inspection should be conducted. The tubes should be checked for compliance with all the quality criteria. Once approved, a certificate of conformity or quality can be issued for the tubes.
